Egypt, Jordan and Israel / 14 days
Day 1 . Arrival to Cairo
Arrival at Cairo airport. Assistance and transfer to hotel. Overnight at the hotel.
Day 2 . Cairo - Giza - Memphis - Sakkara
Breakfast. An excursion will take place throughout the day to Memphis, Sakkara, the Great Pyramids of Giza, the Valley Temple and the Sphinx. Overnight at the hotel.
Day 3 . Cairo - Egyptian Museum - Old Cairo - Market (Bazaar)
Full day city tour, visiting the Egyptian Museum, the Citadel Mosque of Muhammad Ali, the Old City, Ben Ezra Synagogue, the Church of "The Moallakah" (hanging) then by the City of dead to the Kahn Bazaar, The Khalli. Return to hotel and overnight.
Day 4 . Cairo - Sinai
Breakfast. From Cairo crossing the Suez Canal and the Sinai Peninsula to the Mount where Moses received the Tablets of the Law, the monastery of Saint Catherine. Dinner and overnight. At early morning, optional climb to the Mount to see the sunrise.
Day 5 . Sinai - Taba - Eilat - Petra
Taba, Israeli border. Cross the border and arrival in Eilat, panoramic view. If time permits, optional visit to the underwater observatory. From here we move to the Jordanian border and crossing it we have two hours of travel to get to Petra. Dinner and overnight at the hotel.
Day 6 . Petra - Amman
Breakfast. Visit to Petra. We will ride a horse to 'Siq' (narrow canyon) to Petra, the ancient capital of monuments carved with pink rocks such as the treasury. 'The Khazne' (tomb of a Nabatean king) then the field of tombs, obelisks, the altar, etc. from where we will see a panoramic view of the city. Drive to Amman. Dinner and overnight in Amman.
Day 7 . Madaba - Mount Nebo - Tel Aviv
Breakfast. Panoramic view of the city of Amman. Departure to Madaba to visit the ancient Byzantine city and see the ancient mosaic map of the Holy Land and ruins of historic places. It continues about 10 Kms. to Mount Nebo, from where Moses admired the promised land. From that point we will enjoy a magnificent view of the Jordan Valley, Jericho and the Dead Sea and from there contemplate the remains of a Byzantine church with mosaic floors. Continue to the Allenby Bridge and cross the border. From there we drive to Tel Aviv, dinner and overnight.
Day 8 . Tel Aviv - Caesarea - Haifa - Nazareth
Departure for a brief tour of the city of Tel Aviv through the modern districts of the city, for its Bauhaus architectural buildings and its beaches. The tour continues to Jaffa, to visit the interesting neighborhood of artists. Visit the church of San Pedro. The trip continues along the coast road to Caesarea, the ancient Roman capital. There you can appreciate the Roman theater, the hippodrome and Pilate's palace. Then the tour continues to Haifa, visit to the city, climb to Mount Carmel where the challenge of the Prophet Elijah took place. Visit the Church of Stella Maris, headquarters of the Brotherhood of the Carmelites and cult of Our Lady of Carmen. The journey continues to the Bahai Temple and Persian Gardens. From the viewpoint we will appreciate a beautiful panoramic view of the city and harbor. The tour continues to Nazareth where Jesus' childhood and youth was developed. There will visit the Church of the Annunciation, the carpenter of San Jose, the source of the Virgin and the Eastern Market. Overnight at the hotel.
Day 9 . Tiberias - Tabgha - Capernaum - Jordan
Departure to the Mount of Beatitudes, site of the Sermon on the Mount where we will visit the Basilica. The journey continues to Tabgha where the miracle of the multiplication of the loaves and fishes took place, and then to the Church of the Primacy, confirmation place of San Pedro. We will visit the remains of the ancient synagogue where Jesus preached. Cruise boat on the Sea of Galilee. In the afternoon visit the Jordan river and Cana of Galilee where Jesus' first miracle took place. Overnight at the hotel.
Day 10 . Tabor - Jericho - Qumran - Jerusalem
Ascent to Mount Tabor where the Transfiguration of Jesus took place. We will visit the Basilica. Departure towards the Valley of Jezreel through Naim and the Jordan Valley to Jericho, the oldest city in the world. View of the Mount of Temptation. The tour continues through the Dead Sea, the lowest place in the world to reach Qumran where were found the Dead Sea Scrolls. Ascent to Jerusalem by the Judean Desert, Entrance to Jerusalem, city of peace messenger, cradle of the three monotheistic religions. Panoramic view from Mount Scopus. Overnight stay at the hotel.
Day 11 . Jerusalem - Ein Karem - Bethlehem
Departure to the Western Wall and the Temple Mount with the Rock and Al Aqsa mosques. Continue to Ein Karem, birthplace of John the Baptist and visit the Church of the Visitation. The trip continues to Bethlehem to visit the Church of the Nativity, the Church of Santa Catalina and the Grotto of St. Jerome.
Day 12 . Jerusalem
Day off. Possibility of making an optional tour to "Masada and the Dead Sea": Departure from Jerusalem via the Good Samaritan inn along the Dead Sea coast to Masada. Ascent by cable car to the imposing fortress, last fortification of the zealots and visit the excavations of the palace of Herod, the Roman baths, etc. Descent by cable car and arrival to the lowest place in the world, the Dead Sea, 400 meters below sea level. Free time to swim (weather permitting). Return to Jerusalem. Accommodation.
Day 13 . Jerusalem
Lions Gate, Pool of Bethesda, St. Anne's Church, Chapel of the Flagellation, Via Dolorosa, Mount Calvary and the Holy Sepulchre. Visit to Mount Zion, Tomb of King David, Church of the Dormition and the room of the Last Supper. In the afternoon departure to the Mount of Olives, the Church of the Ascension, Church of Our Father and the Garden of Gethsemane. Overnight stay at the hotel.
Day 14 . Jerusalem - Ben Gurion Airport
Transfer from the hotel to Ben Gurion Airport
